
Happy MLK Day ! In 1983 President Ronald Reagan declared Martin Luther King Day to be a national holiday. Born January 15, 1929 in Georgia, Martin received his BA from Morehouse College. In 1954 he became pastor of the Dexter Ave. Baptist church in Montgomery, Alabama. Later becoming an executive member of the NAACP, being the first to lead a non-violent bus boycott. He has been recognized with the Nobel Peace prize and his “I have a Dream” speech. Today we remember and honor the Civil rights activist, leader and aviator for change, Martin Luther King Jr. We must continue on the legacy he left and start a change in our own communities, for the betterment of our future and world.“ Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”✊🏾
