On March 20, 2016, WVU Muslim Student Association held a vigil commemorating  and honor the 51 lives lost during a terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. About 200 people attended the vigil and among them, I was in attendance. People from different backgrounds came together as a community to raise awareness of this tragedy. We heard speeches from the local Imam of the Islamic Center of Morgantown, Rabi of Morgantown Tree of Life Congregation and Delegate Danielle Walker. They all aimed for us to come together as one put aside our differences and acknowledge the sameness we all shared. We are all human and deserve to be given the right to act freely. After witnessing this gathering and the effect it had on the hearts of many I couldn't just let the working end there. That's when I created 1LoveRadio, space where we could honor those making a change locally and globally. To raise awareness and be a voice for the oppressed and tell the untold stories going overlooked. 

With just my phone and eagerness to change the narrative, I began creating content. As a social activist or Human at the fact, it was an obligation for me to do something and let these people know that WE SEE THEM and THEY MATTER!  I've always been really passionate about having a strong connection with the people I interact with because putting your feet into someone else's shoes allows you to see the world from a different perspective. Taking the time to listen to the untold stories of ordinary people can ultimately change the way you view the things around you. Many believe that Dreams are useless and have no meaning. I believe that if you have a Dream or Gift knowing you love, manifest in it because it was given to you for a purpose, USE IT!
