Israeli government continues to enforce severe and discriminatory restrictions on Palestinians.From stopping the export and import of goods out of the Gaza strip using excessive lethal force. What was then known as Palestine before Israel became a nation was inhabited by people in that region (Palestinians). After the Holocaust, many survivors found shelter in displaces person camps administrated by Allied powers. In 1948-1951 almost 700,000 Jews emigrated to Israel which was declared an official state on May 14, 1948. After the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, Egypt was given control of the Gaza strip. In 1967, Israel gained control of the Gaza strip after the 6 day war with Egypt. Since 2006 the strip has become a place for protest, bombings , and assault, etc. Currently terrors are high between Israel and Palestinians. Palestinians are suffering due to Israels lethal actions and restrictions, but Israel officials say they are only protecting themselves. As of November 19 lethal force by Israeli forces resulted in the killing of 252 and 25,522 left injured. From January 2009 to October 2019, 8,038 people have been killed by Israeli security forces including women and children.
