Fear and hatred is something taught not something we are born with
Xenophobia is the fear or hatred of that which is to be foreign or strange. In South Africa's largest city, Johannesburg there were activities such as violent riots targeting many shops and and stores. Some South Africans believe that many of the foreign immigrants are taking away their jobs. It was reported that at least 10 people died during these attacks which sparked diplomatic protests from several African governments. In 2018 South Africa recorded that the population was near 58 million inhabitants and of that 26.96% we're unemployed. Because the situation was not stabilized by the South African government, Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari announced plans to repatriate 650 citizens from South Africa. Luckily, Nigerians have safely returned back home due to the ongoing attacks.
